100 MILLION OF VIEWS ON YOUTUBE ! 

 

After working during 10 year for advertising agencies in Paris, VANUPIÉ leaves his job, his life, and decides to live a new adventure. The following ten years, Vanupié and his extraterrestrial voice works on his sound and universe : Some Soul and Pop music, mixed with a little hint of Reggae wich spices his voice sometimes and sometimes his music in a discrete skank of acoustics guitar supported by Bass & Drum/Battery of exception.

He records a first Album in 2013 : “Freebirds”. For the release, he produces alone a show at « La CIGALE » (Paris). Gradually a faithful public gathers around this atypical artist. By 2013, he passes by the most beautiful venues of France and Europe opening the concerts for artists such as Shaka Ponk, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Asa, The Wailers, Alpha Blondy, Tryo... In paris, he persevered playing in the subway where he shares a Promotional concert with - M - at the Jaures station (Paris) and he meets the director of Cinema François Dupeyron who will use thereafter 4 titles of the Album for his last movie diffused in most of the cinemas in France. Lisbon, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid, Berlin... All along the year 2014, he went around Europe as the first part of the « GROUNDATION’s shows ». The Bataclan (Paris), La Cigale (Paris), the Cabaret Sauvage (Paris), at the Trianon (Paris) we can see him opening the show for Matisyahu, SOJA, or in more intermits venues with Cleanton Fearon or Taïro. We also could see him on the roads of France with the English Group UB40, at Solidays Festival in 2015 & 2017, or with Shaka Ponk at the Bus Palladium for a concert more than private. The REGGAE SUN SKA Festival opened his scene to him two years in a row...The ROTOTOM SUN SPLASH invites him in August 2018... VANUPIÉ is everywhere and brings together an increasingly eclectic audience. Indeed, this Artist made for «LIVE music » plays everywhere, for everyone and without any distinction.

In August 2017, his E.P. «JANUS» give us the tone for a second album of 12 tracks very personal, «GOLD», released a year later, May, 4th. In this new album, VANUPIÉ offers us several pearls. First, a song we can now call his first real «hit» : «ROCKADOWN», With more than 39 MILLIONS views on Youtube his song travels aroud the world. Then, he invited the famous californian singer and leader of the band GROUNDATION, Harrison STAFFORD on «SHARING THE LIGHT», second track of the Album. But as usual, VANUPIÉ surprises us with each new song. FOOLTIME, a sweet song closer to Simon & Garfunkel than Bob Marley ; or a new version of his title "GOOD MORNING", shared on studio with Trevor YOUNG from the famous reggae band S.O.J.A., Kim POMMEL (Groundation) and FLOX, used to featurings on the tracks of VANUPIÉ (Cf. Feelown Down/ 1st album).

After an uninterrupted solo tour during several years, VANUPIÉ is back on the road with his musicians. Since February 2018, the band has roamed the venues and festivals of France and Europe, leaving behind them the same feeling of well-being and freedom to their audience. More than 70 concerts during the year 2018 on beautiful stages : Rototom Sun Splash, Bobital, Fête du Bruit, Festival Darc... and many more already booked for the year 2019. 12 new songs, a line-up and technical team coming straight from heaven. Jérôme LAVAUD on Bass, Arnaud FORESTIER on Keyboards, Nordine HOUCHAT on Guitares and Tao EHRLICH on drums. Jérôme KALFON (The voice, Flox) and Didier THERY (Shaka Ponk, Archive...) will be at the «controllers» to offer you 1 : 30 hour of a breathtaking show.
