THE YELLBOWS
/// JAZZ BLUES BRASS BAND
THE YELLBOWS, A BRASS BAND PLAYING ORIGINAL SONGS
WITH A TASTE OF THE AMERICAN SOUTH!
Stephan Notari, singer, drummer, percussionist and guitarist, is an excellent musician well known on the blues scene as, among other things, Mathis Haug's long-time partner, and for his collaborations with JJ Milteau, Raphaël Lemonnier and Pura Fe. He created this band to give his songs the colour he was looking for, a blend of American cultures.
For this project he is joined by Matthieu Maigre on trombone, who has played in New Orleans with Kirk Joseph and his Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Alexis Borrely on sousaphone and Thibaud Roussel on tenor banjo, a renowned rhythm duo that forms the backbone of many bands on the new New Orleans jazz scene.
Musically, you'll find blues, folk and jazz inspirations: a little crazy, joyful, funky and rock'n'roll all at once...
Stéphan sings about life, love and the endless search for the other, all with a good dose of humour and irony...
He skilfully blends the roots of traditional American music with a subtle rock'n'roll touch, drawn from his experience and varied influences.
On some stages, the band invites prestigious guest musicians to expand the line-up for an even livelier, more danceable and explosive concert!
