BILLET D’HUMEUR/// AFRO RAP
TWIN BROTHERS DEFYING THE CODES OF RAP: EXPERIMENTAL HIP-HOP WITH AFRICAN INFLUENCES AND A RAW, POWERFUL, VISCERAL LIVE SHOW!
Allan (Alone) and Brice (Brizio), aka Billet d'Humeur (BH to their friends), are self-taught French singer-songwriters. They grew up in the Paris suburbs, raised on the beat of Congolese rumba and the biting lyricism of French rap pioneers, from NTM to IAM and MC Solaar.
In 2018, the two brothers launched the 4-piece band “Billet d'Humeur”, spotted in the corridors of the Paris metro for its electro-vocal improvisations, which took it from Paris jam sessions to European festivals. After a pop EP released in 2018 (Universal Music – Morgane Prod / Sony – Pbox) and around a hundred concerts in France and Europe, the twins struck out on their own, keeping the name and the ambition of Billet d'Humeur.
After the Covid crisis, Allan and Brice refocused on what binds them: being twins. This introspection gave birth to “Inc(l)assables”, released in 2023. A real artistic turning point, this experimental hip-hop EP with African influences places them among the versatile and ambitious projects of the new French scene.
Live, the performance is raw and powerful: passion pours out. True stage animals, Allan and Brice give everything they've got. The show is visual and visceral, a shared moment you come out of stunned… and blown away.
They have shared the bill with Arsenik at the Bataclan, MC Solaar, Gims, Sly Johnson, Demi Portion, Corneille and Neg'Marrons, and have performed at the Francofolies de Spa, Tanjazz in Tangier, Paris 2024 and the Avignon Festival.
