# ARTISANAL TECHLOW MUSIC
BASS TONG APPROPRIATES OBJECTS OF RECOVERY SUCH AS PVC PIPES TO MAKE NON-STANDARDIZED INSTRUMENTS WITH WHICH IT MAKES AN ACOUSTIC TECHNO RESONATE !
In the street or on stage, this former student of Fine Arts takes his wild violin making for a walk: "Any object is a potential sound source and to transform the sidewalk into a dance floor, no need for expensive synthesizers" he ratchets up. The result is a low tech recup' music, inspired by the domestic techno of "Jacques", the Germans of the "Blue Man Group", or the Congolese of "Kokoko". It is this "poor man's techno" that led Antoine de Caunes, in April 2020, to devote a mini report to it in which he links it to a new generation of musicians/do-it-yourselfers!
BASS TONG also offers educational workshops for young and old, during which it makes instruments from salvaged objects.
